Patch Picks: Westlake's Hair Stylists

Up-do? Down? Curly? Straight? These Westlake hair stylists can handle it all!

Serina, Bella Capelli 

Master stylist/colorist Serina Peck brings 21 years of experience to Westlake's Bella Capelli Salon and Spa. Specializing in hair design and color, clients sit down in her chair with high hopes and are never disappointed or forced to settle.

In addition to being a much-sought after stylist and colorist, Serina also co-owns the popular salon, so she's often busy performing back-of-the-house tasks in addition to clipping and snipping her clients to beauty. Serina's work has also been featured in several international hair publications.

2. Brenda, Rainbow Room

This Westlake hair and color technician is a Ouidad certified hair designer who is well-known for her ability to tame and beautify unruly curly hair.

"Curly hair should be handled differently than straighter hair," she said. "The cutting and coloring techniques are unique, just as each texture of curl is unique." 

Brenda has curly hair herself, so much of her curly hair experience comes from her own head. 

"With the correct products, hair cut and color, there are many solutions for curly hair," she said.

3. Carmen, Ichiban 

Ichiban hair stylist Carmen graduated from cosmetology school in 1990 - the same year she began working at the Westlake salon. She has recieved broad training in many types of cut and styling techniques, which makes her an excellent choice for anyone looking for a new 'do. She attended New York's Bumble & Bumble, where she received specialized training in razor-cutting techniques. 

"I never get tired of meeting people," she said. "I love doing hair." 

4. Jack, Bella Capelli 

Master stylist Jack Dusek began his cosmetology career in 1971. He owned his own salon for more than 20 years and now serves as one of Bella Capelli's veteran stylists. He's known for his exceptional ability to re-texturize course and unruly hair, precision styling and coloring services. In short, even those with "nightmare hair" can sit in Jack's chair and walk out of Bella Capelli looking and feeling like a million bucks. Jack has trained with Aveda, Vidal Sassoon and Goldwell

Jack also volunteers his time and talents at the Cleveland Clinic, where he keeps hospice patients looking great. 

5. Sherri, Fringe and Foundation (F&F) Studio

F&F Studio's Sherri Shepherd has been styling hair and making clients beautiful for more than two decades. 

"I enjoy every aspect of this industry," she said. "It is truly my passion." 

Sherri's personal goal is to amalgamate her clients' lifestyles, fashion choices, personality and wants to create styles that are not only unique and attractive, but fit each client's life like a personalized and well-fitting glove.
