Hyland Software CEO AJ Hyland Stepping Down

Has run company since 2001

AJ Hyland, president and CEO of top Westlake business Hyland Software, will step down on Monday, Jan. 14, Crain's Cleveland Business reported Friday afternoon.

Chief operating officer Bill Priemer will replace Hyland, the report added.

Hyland's departure comes as the company is preparing an expansion. It is going to build a new building at the old Nordson property, bringing as many as 600 new jobs to town.

Hyland Software was named one of the Top Workplaces in Cleveland in a 2012 report by Workplace Dynamics and The Plain Dealer. It is know for being a fun workplace, with slides in the building and events such as go-kart races and bringing in food trucks.

The company is also active in the community, including helping to clean up a Cleveland school last year, and hosts the annual Youth Challenge Race Day.
