Eric Mull Gallery Opens in Crocker Park

One of Cleveland’s best known photographers has opened a gallery in Crocker Park and will be featuring different shows on a periodic basis, starting with the current show, Cleveland cityscapes.

Westlake photographer and resident Eric Mull, who has contracted work for Crocker Park in the past, said the shopping mecca approached him.

“Crocker’s been a client,” Mull said from an office in the gallery. “Eight months ago they approached me and said, ‘we have space, do you want to open a gallery?’”

The gallery opened in May.

“This is the first show,” Mull said of the 19 large high-quality prints of Cleveland, all for sale. “There are night shots and aerial shots of Cleveland.”

Mull began taking aerial shots by helicopter of Cleveland in 2012 while on assignments for clients. The shots include incredibly details photos of Cleveland, including the stadium and port, during day and night time.

The shots of Cleveland have been huge sellers, especially for downtown offices.

The next show, beginning the week of Aug. 10, will feature Paris, where Mull just returned from, shooting pictures for the Tartine Bistro in Rocky River which he is a partner in. He says featuring other experienced photographers down the road are a possibility.

Mull has extensive photography experience, starting when he was 18. The now 43-year-old travels extensively around the world, always with a camera in hand, and has a collection of his work, including beaches and corporate portraits, particularly for law firms.

Although corporate portraits are his business’s meat and potatoes, he said he does not favor one subject genre over another.

“I like variety,” he said. “I like beaches one week, and buildings the next.”

New to retail art, he said he’s figuring it out as he goes along, but is making headway and his high-end prints, which he can frame, are becoming good sellers.

A scratch and dent sale held at the art fair two weeks ago resulted in a near-sell out of photos on sale.

Mull’s work has graced a number of national magazines and he has shot an extensive number of covers for Cleveland Magazine and Inside Business magazine.

Mull maintains portfolios, where prints can be ordered, at his Crocker Park office and can he be contacted through EricMullFineArt.com. Additional work can be viewed at EricMullGallery.comGallery hours are Tuesday – Friday, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m., Saturday noon – 8 p.m. and Sunday, 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
