Why go: The carnival will feature carnival games, over 10 rides for all ages, various singers and bands, a cornhole tournament, a casino, and a steak dinner from Applebee’s. And if you remember the classic rock group Mystic Taxi from , they will be performing at the carnival on Saturday too! Come enjoy food, music, and games!

LAKEWOOD ARTS FESTIVAL

Find out what's happening in Westlakewith free, real-time updates from Patch.

Where/When: Detroit Road between Andrews and Marlow/ Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Why go: Browse the 164 artist booths set up on Detroit Road as you watch “art demonstrations, improvisational theater, and a drum circle” put on by the Beck Center, according to festival’s website. There will also be seven live musicians performing at different times, ranging from acoustic to folk to polka. This is the 34th return of the annual art show so it must be good!

CUYAHOGA COUNTY FAIR

Where/When: 164 Eastland Rd, Berea/ Monday-Sunday

Why go: This local fair has a bizarre collection of intriguing events like the “Doughnut Eating Contest,” “Gummi Worm Eating Contest,” and “Reptile Show.” The fair also has a Little Miss and Mister Pageant, horse racing, academic contests, a demolition derby, a steel drum performance, and other live music including a Pink Floyd tribute concert. General admission is only six dollars and children, seniors, fair participants, and active military members get a reduced rate. Parking is free!

MUPPETS FROM SPACE

Where/When: Capitol Theatre/ Saturday at 10 a.m., doors open at 9:30 a.m.

Why go: The Muppets is a classic children’s show that’s never aired on television anymore. Every kid loves these goofy puppets, so take them for a refreshing dose of comedy that will switch things up from Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. The movie is free and it’s a great family event, especially in this summer’s humid weather.

ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW

Where/When: Cedar Lee Theatre/ Saturday 11:55 p.m.

Why go: If you miss attending this cultish movie or want to see some out-there costumes, go to the Cedar Lee Theatre this Saturday! And if you’ve never been, you have to go at least once. It’s a strange experience, but definitely fun and new. If nothing else, at least you’ll have been exposed to the culture of Rocky Horror!
