On Wednesday, the Cuyahoga West Genealogy Society will meet to learn about the city's bicentennial celebration at 7 p.m. at . Will Krause, assistant director of the city's planning and building department, will present “The History of Westlake and Its Bicentennial Celebration" and Jeanne B. Workman, genealogist and author of the award-winning bicentennial book "Pioneers of Westlake, Ohio: Settlers in 1820 and Their Families," will be signing books. Books will also be available for purchase. Refreshments start at 6:30 p.m.

 On Thursday, kids can make edible jewelry, hear stories about Prince Charming and even get crowned at the 's Royal Tea Party. Attendees can dress like their favorite princess for either party: there is one from 11-11:45 a.m. and another from 1-1:45 p.m. Cupcakes and royal punch will be served.

 Students from the Brown Aveda Institute will be offering free manicures to students in grades 9-12 from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at . Registration is required and space is limited. To reserve a spot, call 440-871-2600.
