The Pipe-less Pipe Organ

A free demonstration concert of music for organ, brass, and strings showcasing the versatility of the King of Instruments. Visuals will show the beautiful designs of historic and modern instruments. Performers include Prince of Peace organist Don Jackson with members of the Black River Quartet and brass from Cleveland Institute of Music.  Music will vary in style from Baroque to modern pieces in the style of John Williams to show how the instrument has evolved from pipe to electric.  There will be something for everyone. A wine and hors d'oeuvre reception follows.

The concert is offered as part of the Cleveland Chapter of the American Guild of Organists'  Cleveland Organ Weekend.  For the full list of events go to http://www.agocleveland.org/chapter-events/cleveland-organ-weekend-2012
