Enter The Westlake Bicentennial Drawing Contest

There's still one more week to enter Porter Public Library's competition!

Tell the kids to break out their crayons, markers, pencils and pens for ’s Bicentennial Drawing contest!

Kids from 3-18 years old can submit a picture featuring a city landmark or historical building. Ideas from library staff include schools, churches, parks, the recreation center, the senior center, police headquarters or fire department. Or get creative and find your own spot!

Library staff will choose a winner in four age groups: 3-6 years old, 7-10 years old 11-14 years old and 15-18 years old.

Winners and the runner up in each category get their drawings displayed at the library and the four winners get a $20 gift card to .

Entries must be submitted to the Youth Services Department by June 24. Each contestant may enter one drawing only on paper no smaller than 8.5 by 11 inches and no larger than 11 by 17 inches. Drawings may be in any medium.

Be sure to include the artist’s name, the location of the drawing, the names of the artist’s parents or legal guardians and a contact number.
