Clague Playhouse Welcomes Great Lakes Theater Festival For Free Performance
Great Lakes Theater Festival will put on a free production of "Twice Told Tales of the Decameron" Feb. 20th.
Westlake’s residents won’t need to travel far to experience Cleveland’s classic Shakespearean company. As part of Great Lake Theater Festival's Surround Program, "Twice Told Tales of the Decameron" will make a stop at Clague Playhouse on Feb. 20th at 2 p.m.
Adapted from Giovanni Boccaccio’s "The Decameron" - which served as the basis for several of Shakespeare’s plays – this production dramatizes the short stories that inspired "The Two Gentlemen of Verona" and "Cymbeline." The adaptation was written by Daniel Hahn, director of education at Great Lakes Theater Festival.
Directed by Lisa Ortenzi, the touring company features Cleveland actors David Hansen, Kristy Lee Miller, Eric Perusek, and Robert Smith.
