Safety Town, science and the blues!

1) Safety Town is now accepting applications! All children entering kindergarten in the fall are eligible. Registration forms are available at the Westlake Police Station, 27300 Hilliard Blvd., or online at the police department website. There are two sessions - one two-week program starting June 13 anda one-week class beginning July 25. Cost is $20 per child for residents and $25 for non-residents.

2) The Westlake Recreation Center is hosting at 6:30 p.m. tonight. Tonght is the last night to catch the space program in which kids can build NASA astronaut training equipment, a space robot and more.

3) Be sure to bring an umbrella again today. According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Experts are expecting less than an inch of rain.

4) Wallace Coleman will be playing blues at 7:30 p.m. at tonight. Coleman is the winner of the 2002 Living Blues award.

5) The Great Lakes Science Center is free today and every Tuesday for kids. All children under 18 years old get a free admission pass when they come with an adult.
