Plenty of Holy Week Services Around Town

Westlake churches have lots of special worship services for Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.

Maundy Thursday

  • , 27650 Center Ridge Rd., is hosting a special Maundy Thursday supper and service from 6:30-9 p.m.
  • , 2239 Dover Center Rd., will have their Simple Soup Supper at 6 p.m., followed by a Tenebrae service with communion at 7 p.m.
  • , 27993 Detroit Rd., will have services at noon and 7 p.m. The evening service will have Confirmands taking their communion.
  • Advent Episcopal Church, 3760 Dover Center Rd., will administer the Holy Eucharist and perform the Stripping of the Altar at 7:30 p.m.
  • Parkside Church of the Nazarene, 23600 Hilliard Blvd., will host a 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday service.
  • , 23500 Center Ridge Rd., will host a special Tenebrae service at 7:30 p.m.with music, the story of the last supper and a re-enactment of Jesus's last days.

Good Friday

  • Prince of Peace Westlake, 28455 Center Ridge Rd., will host a service at 7 p.m.
  • , 2256 Clague Rd., will have a 9 a.m. morning prayer service, followed by the Stations of the Cross at noon, the Liturgy of the Lord's Passion at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • Advent Episcopal Church, 3760 Dover Center Rd., will perform the Stations of the Cross at 7:30 p.m.
  • Westlake Christian Church, 25800 Hilliard Blvd., will hold a service at 7:30 p.m.
  • , 27993 Detroit Rd., will have a traditional service at noon and a contemporary service at 7 p.m.
  • , 23500 Center Ridge Rd., will have worship starting at 3 p.m. Attendees will have time to reflect and walk through prayer stations in the tradition of the Stations of the Cross. Worshipers can stay as long as they like and leave whenever they're ready.
