Westlake Loco Leprechaun might just be the wackiest restaurant around, but that doesn't mean it isn't the ideal place to celebrate St. Pat's in Westlake. In fact, it just might make it the best place to celebrate the Irish holiday. This Irish-Mexican cantina isn't typical in any way, and that's part of what makes it so special. Looking for a true St. Paddy's Day fiesta? You can't go wrong with the corned beef nachos, or an Irish ale... with a slice of lime. Stop in early for kegs and eggs, and stay late for live music.

Downtown Cleveland St. Patrick's Day Parade

Superior Ave. at E. 18th, Cleveland

While the bars might not be the best places for the wee ones to go green this holiday, the St. Patrick's Day parade is perfect for the whole family. The parade takes off at 1 p.m. down Superior beginning at East 18th and runs to East Roadway. A variety of themed floats, marching bands, bag pipers and Irish dancers take to the streets for an electifying performance that'll make even the greenest grouch beam with Irish pride. This year's event is the 143rd, making it one of the longest-running parades in the country.

Ironwood Cafe

688 Dover Center Road, Westlake, OH

The Ironwood Cafe will be serving up an Irish breakfast from 9-11 a.m with $2 green beers and Irish whiskey shot specials all day! The first 25 people through the doors will get a custom Ironwood T-shirt. The bar is also serving huge corned beef sandwiches and dinners all day. Dancing with the DJ starts at 8 p.m.!

Flannery's Irish Pub

323 Prospect Ave. E., Cleveland

Perhaps Cleveland's most iconic Irish pub, Flannery's is located in the heart of downtown. From green beer to bag pipers and Irish dancers to face painters, Flannery's is perfect for the party-loving adult who still has an obvious kid streak. Of course, plenty of Irish grub (corned beef and cabbage, anyone?) will be on hand to satiate even the most enormous appetite. Oh, and what Saint Paddy's Day pub experience would be complete without live music?  The Boys from Country Hell will perform as well. Doors open at 5:30 a.m. for kegs and eggs, so stop in and say "top-o-the mornin' to ya!"

House of Blues

308 Euclid Ave., Cleveland

Cleveland's iconic House of Blues downtown will be hosting its seventh annual Saint Patrick's Day celebration, and this year's event is sure to be pure gold... a pot of gold, that is. Starting in the wee hours of the morning, patrons can file in and drink their favorite Irish brews and hopefully score some free swag from one of HOB's great giveaways, which will be going on all day long. The HOB restaurant opens at 10 a.m., serving up tons of hearty Irish fare in a serve-yourself buffet for just $12 per person. The event begins at 6 a.m., so set your alarm and don't forget your green hat!
