Meet The Library Friends’ Board At Oct. 10 Open House

The group has donated over $650,000 to the library since its inception.

The Friends of Porter Public Library’s Board invites you to an Open House on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 6:30-7 p.m.  

Chat with the Friends Board, enjoy refreshments and learn about Friends membership benefits and volunteer opportunities.

The Friends of Porter Public Library was formed in 1972 to support the library through volunteer service and monetary donations. The Friends operate both Portables Gift Shop and the Book Nook at the library, as well as the annual Big Book Sale.

The funds they raise support library programming, such as the Summer Reading Program, and has provided Outreach vans, computers and programs for the Children's area, new shelving for the Popular Materials department, furniture and equipment, and library and audio materials.
