Celebrate Saint Patrick's Day at the Children's Museum

The Cleveland Children’s Museum, which is located in University Circle, is a world of learning, fun and excitement for your little ones. The kiddies can play in the sand and discover bones at the dinosaur dig, make believe they're a police officer, bus driver, bank clerk or doctor in the career fun room, climb the nets and ladders on the big slide and pretend to be a news anchor in the mini news studio. Pack up the family on Saint Patrick's Day, Thursday, March 17 and receive $1 off each family member's admission and get treated to themed snacks and a shamrock pin-making craft, included with general admission. Don't miss this event, or you'll be green with envy for those who didn't!

BOGO Froyo @ Spoon Me

Located in the Promenade at Crocker Park, Spoon Me is a frozen yogurt boutique of sorts. Flavors like cheesecake, chocolate, banana and raspberry meld with toppings like fresh fruit, gummy bears, chocolate chips and sprinkles alongside dreamy fruity smoothies. Whether your kids like their froyo in a cup or a cone, one of them will get their pick for free on Thursdays between 3 and 6 p.m., when Spoon Me hosts its BOGO Happy Hour. What's better than frozen yogurt with all of your favorite toppings? Paying for one and getting two, of course!

Have a Family Fiesta on the Cheap at El Rodeo

Frugal families can't get enough of El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant kids-eat-free promotion. Every Monday, kids get a free entree off the children's menu with the purchase of an adult entree. Tacos, burritos and enchiladas (and even chicken fingers and hot dogs for less adventurous kiddies) make appearances on the kid's menu, so go have a dinnertime fiesta and indulge in some sizzlin' fajitas (and maybe share a strawberry margarita with the hubster) while the little ones dine for free.

Teach the Kids the Value of a Buck... for Free!

One of Cleveland's little known children's attractions is a gem called The Money Museum at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. This free museum is geared for kids aged 5 to 12 (although younger kids are certainly welcome) and features free admission four days a week. Open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., The Money Museum features fun, interactive exhibits that teach kids how money is made, why money is worth what it's worth and how banking and interest works. It's an awesome way to teach kids a valuable lesson in money handling early on, and the money tree makes a great photo op for your scrap book.
