Connecting for Kids and the Westlake Porter Public Library

Does your child listen to what you say? Does he/she throw long tantrums? Does your child have issues such as hitting or biting?  Come learn "Behavior Basics" from Christie Kimbler, M.Ed., Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities.

This two-part series is applicable for both children with and without formal diagnosis.

The tools and strategies taught in this class will help parents learn how
to analyze why behaviors are happening and prevent them, all in a positive
reinforcement model.

The first part of the lecture series will focus on teaching parents the tools to analyze the causes of their children's behaviors and simple strategies to prevent them. The second part will assume parents applied the lessons from the first lecture and take the discussion to a deeper level to work on "what worked/what didn't" and provide small group coaching.
