Women Try to Break Into Berringer Run Home

Westlake Police are looking for two women spotted trying to break into a Berringer Run home the morning of Dec. 11.
The resident called police after seeing them at the back door of the home with some kind of tool. The women then fled to a waiting gray 2007 Mazda SUV driven by a Middle Eastern man who looked to be in his 60s, and took off heading east on Hilliard Blvd.
The women were described to police as being heavyset, and of Middle Eastern descent. Both spoke in an accent. One looked to be in her mid-50s and was about 5 feet tall with straight black hair. She was wearing a dark jacket. The second woman was about 5 feet, 3 inches tall with short curly hair. She was wearing a skirt and was carrying a crossover bag draped across her body.
The car was found later that day in a Rocky River parking lot, and was impounded and serached. The investigation is continuing.
