Winning the annual Little Brown Jug game against Bay, 13-3, Friday night was sweet for Westlake High's football team.

What's even sweeter? The $4,000 that comes with winning the Cleveland Browns Game of the Week. 

The game won a fan vote to be the Browns Game of the Week, which meant the winner of the game would receive $4,000 for its football program. Demons coach Mark Campo and the game's MVP will be honored at a Browns home game this season.

The Little Brown Jug is a rivalry that dates back to somewhere in the mid- to late 1950s. The earliest history Westlake athletic director Tony Cipollone could find of it was 1958.

Westlake improves to 2-0 with the win. The Demons next play at Rocky River at 7 p.m. Sept. 7.
