District moves up from previous Excellent rating on state report card

Westlake City Schools students, parents and staff have something to celebrate.
The district was rated Excellent With Distinction by the Ohio Department of Education as preliminary data and report card information were released Wednesday.
Excellent With Distinction is the highest rating given.
Westlake had been rated excellent in 2011.
