Westlake High School's girls soccer team capped its regular season by winning the Southwestern Conference title.

The Demons are 8-6-1, 6-1 in the SWC. They went 1-2 last week, beating Avon Lake and losing to Avon and Warren Howland.

Westlake is seeded second in OHSAA Division I district play. The Demons host Avon in the tournament opener at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Tickets are $4 for students, $6 for adults. There are no senior citizen discounts and no conference of Demons passes are accepted at the gate.
