Westlake High Baseball Going to States

Here are some things to know

This week offers the road trip of a lifetime for Westlake High's baseball team.

The Demons are playing in the OHSAA baseball championships at Huntington Park in Columbus.

Westlake (21-6) plays in the 4 p.m. semifinal on Thursday against Canton regional champion Massillon-Perry (19-10).

Tickets for the game are $8, with no student or senior discounts. There are no advance ticket sales.

Paid parking is available near the stadium. The decision on whether to have a spirit bus for students had not been made as of Tuesday afternoon, athletic director Tony Cipollone said.

If the Demons win, there could be a few missing faces at Saturday's graduation ceremony at the Wolstein Center. The Division I final is at 1 p.m. Saturday at Huntington Park. Graduation is at 3 p.m.
