Viewfinder: Zumbathon Party!
A Latin dance exercise sensation took over The Gathering Place to benefit cancer support programs.
Between 40 and 50 people from all over Greater Cleveland showed up at The Gathering Place in Westlake to raise money for the cancer support center and work off a few pounds.
It was a Zumbathon — a three-hour Zumba marathon where participants worked up a sweat. Zumba is an exercise program based on Latin dance moves and lead by instructors and done to the beat of tropical music.
Participants each donated $15 to the cancer support group to attend the workout party with instructors Anna Roberts, Maryann Tuscasno and Lisa Yasenchak.
Editors note: In a previous version of this post instructor Maryann Tuscasno was incorrectly identified. We apologize for the error.
