Toy Run Coming Through Westlake Sunday
Center Ridge Road will be affected as motorcycles pass through town
Heading out Sunday afternoon? There will be traffic slowdowns on Center Ridge Road early in the afternoon, but it's for a good cause.
The 17th annual Fairview Hospital Toy Run starts in Avon at 1 p.m. Sunday, and the trek will take the riders through Westlake.
Westlake police estimate that the motorcyclists bringing toys from Lake Erie Harley-Davidson in Avon will arrive in Westlake before 1:30 p.m.
The riders will head east on Center Ridge Road from Bradley Road to Clague Road. Intersections with Center Ridge will be closed as the riders pass, which could take between 20 to 25 minutes.
Want to ride? There's still time to sign up. Registration is from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Lake Erie Harley-Davidson. The cost to ride is one new toy or $20 per person, two new toys or $35 for a couple.
