This Weekend: Demons Take the Field, Dogs Take Over Peterson Pool

From the big North Coast Challenge run to a Friday night beer tasting, there's plenty to do in Westlake this weekend!

 

DOG DAY AFTERNOON AT PETERSON POOL

Where/When: Clague Park / 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3

Why Go: It's time to let the dogs have their day in the pool! Bring your pooch and let them splash, swim and frolic with other dogs. The event is free, but a $2 donation at the pool is encouraged to benefit the Westlake Animal Shelter.

NORTH COAST CHALLENGE

Where/When: Crocker Park / 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3

Why Go: The 21st annual North Coast Challenge 5-mile run and 2-mile walk will raise funds for local community organizations like Youth Challenge, Far West Center and the Kiwanis Club. The 5-mile run and 2-mile family walk start at 8 a.m. The Kids Fun Run starts at 9:30 a.m. The awards ceremony will be at 10 a.m. For more race information and online registration, visit the North Coast Challenge website. After Sept. 1 , you can register at the Westlake Recreation Center from 12-6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2 or the morning of the race.

WESTLAKE DEMONS TAKE ON BAY VILLAGE

Where/When: Westlake High School / 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2

Why Go: The Demons are playing their first home game tonight against the Bay Village Rockets. The Demons are looking for a win after losing to North Ridgeville 34 to 9 last week. Come cheer on the home team!

BEER TASTING FEATURING NEW HOLLAND BREWERY

Where/When: The Fine Wine & Tobacco / Friday, Sept. 2

Why Go: Come taste a variety of beers featuring New Holland Brewing Company. The beers will be paired with some great food, all included in the ticket. RSVP with Nick at (440) 892-7096 or in the contact us form on their website.
