Third Annual Artisan Show a Steady Success

After three years, organizers have seen consistent returns and are eager to find out how much the fundraiser will net this year.

St. Bernadette’s knows a thing or two about hosting a craft show.

Over the last three years, the annual Artisan Affair draws in vendors from around the region and attracts customers from around the city by featuring a wide variety of handmade goods that can’t be found at your typical box store.

The most popular products to choose from were handcrafted soaps, one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry, unique stain glass art, photography and more, organizer Mo Loesch said.

The fundraiser, which will benefit The Gathering Place and help to update the school’s technology lab, is set to raise at least $5,000 and maybe a little more, depending on attendance and raffle ticket sales.

“It’s about community involvement and helping out good causes.” Loesch said. “We typically see around 600 people each year, and we’re happy to invite them in and highlight the school and its many facilities.”
