Thieves Steal From Home, Unlocked Cars
The following arrest information was provided by the Westlake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Thieves got into two unlocked cars and made off with a nice haul.
A Westford Circle woman reported that $100 in cash, a gift card, and a small can of pepper spray were taken from her unlocked 2010 Ford Fusion the night of August 21. The same night, $50 in cash, a $40 purse, and a $200 GPS were taken from a 2008 Nissan Rogue at a Trotters Ridge residence.
Two rings worth at least $2,200 were taken from a Wakefied Lane woman's home sometime between July 27 and August 20. The woman told Westlake Police on August 23 that she suspected home cleaners may have done it. The investigation is continuing.
