Thief Settles for Metal After Failing to Steal Truck

The following arrest information was provided by the Westlake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A thief was unsuccessful in trying to steal a truck from a Clemens Road business.

The attempted theft of the 1994 Ford truck happened sometime between Aug. 24 and 27. The passenger window was smashed and the ignition was damaged.

The thief didn't get away empty-handed. Ten metal plates stored outside, valued at around $2,000, were stolen.

Westlake Police are investigating.

Happy Ending

Credit and debit cards were stolen from four lockers at St. John Medical Center on Aug. 24.
