Thefts of Credit Cards, Jewelry, Gas Around Town

The following arrest information was provided by the Westlake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

An alert husband caught some credit card trouble.

His wife's wallet was taken from her purse sometime between 1 and 5 p.m. on Sept. 21 while she was at her office on Clague Road. Her husband got in touch with her to ask about charges made on their credit card at gas stations in Lakewood and Eastlake. That's when she discovered the missing wallet.

The credit card was cancelled and Westlake Police are investigating.

Jewelry Stolen

About $3,500 worth of jewelry was stolen from a Washington Way home sometime between Sept. 5 and Sept. 21.

The owner told Westlake Police that they suspect a home health care worker. The investigation is continuing.

Gas Stolen

Someone drilled a hole into the Westlake Porter Library's van sometime between Sept. 21 and 23. About 18 gallons of gas were stolen. The damage is estimated at $1,500. Police have no suspects.

Wallet Stolen

A Westlake man left his wallet in his unlocked car while he went into Giant Eagle around 3:20 p.m. on Sept. 24. The wallet, which contained $12 and miscellaneous papers, was stolen along with prescription drugs. Police have no suspects.
