Theft of TV's Thwarted at Marc's
The following information was provided by the Westlake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Two men apparently thought no one would notice them carrying two flat-screen televisions out of Marc's without paying for them.
Oops. Employees noticed.
The men were approached by employees as they were leaving the store just before 7:20 p.m. on Jan. 10 with the TVs, which had a total value of $678.
The employees asked the suspects, two black men, to show them the receipts for the TVs. The men didn't have them and fled. They were last seen in a black Chevrolet car.
Technicolor Yawn Leads to Trouble
A Westlake Police officer saw a car parked in the lot of a business on Center Ridge Road around 3:20 a.m. on Dec. 29, and went to check on it.
The officer found a 20-year-old North Olmsted man in the driver's seat, who told the officer he pulled over because his passenger was going to be sick.
The passenger, a 19-year-old Kent woman, was arrested for underage consumption. The driver, who was sober, was free to go.
