  1. The damage caused by Hurricane Sandy was definitely the biggest news of the week in Westlake. The storms caused power outages for thousands across the city, postponing trick or treat and closing the Westlake City Schools for three days. Here’s a look at the damage by the numbers
  2. The Westlake Demons’ 2012 football season ended Friday night. The team started the OHSAA playoff game strong, but lost 14-7 to the Mansfield-Madison Rams.
  3. A Westlake man has been charged for crimes related to defrauding the St. Paul Croatian Federal Credit Union. Allegedly, Aziz Ukshini, 38, fraudulently obtained $2.8 million of loans from the credit union. He is being charged with fraud, bribery and money laundering.
