Police Track Down Teen Runaways
Authorities used GPS to locate the boy and girl who ran away the day before Valentine's Day
A 16-year-old Westlake boy and 15-year-old Avon Lake girl both cut school on Feb. 13 and ran away together.
They took a 2000 Hyundai Tiburon belonging to the boy’s father, according to Westlake Police.
Police used their GPS to track the teen runaways to central Ohio on Interstate 71.
The Mt. Gilead State Highway Patrol post was alerted. They found and stopped the boy and girl.
Both were turned over to their parents for punishment.
