Obamacare Discussion, Crushers Games on Calendar

Here's what's going on this week

 
  1. Rocky River Women for Obama will host a discussion on the Affordable Care Act at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
  2. It's going to be a great week in terms of weather. Get out and enjoy it as the Lake Erie Crushers open a homestand Tuesday against the former London Rippers, now called the Road Warriors after the team folded in July.
  3. Westlake High School's football team opens the 2012 season Friday at home, taking on North Ridgeville at 7 p.m. 
  4. Check out cool cars while helping animals at the Wheels For Wags Charity Car Show Saturday at Avon United Methodist Church. The event, which benefits Friendship APL, will also feature music, food, raffles and other fun.
  5. Have fun and get some exercise as Urban Active Fitness hosts Fitness in the Park at Crocker Park at 10 a.m. Sunday. Urban Yoga will be the featured class, and it's free.
