Amen Dave! I am praying he does not get back in office. We had slick Willie Clinton here in my little town in Florida over the weekend. You know you are at the bottom of the barrell when you have to ask the great adulterer to say a few good things about you. But then Barry is the same guy that went to Jerimiah Wright's racist church for 25 years, said he was hi s"spitritual" counsoler, then said he never heard the bad things that were said by his racist "pastor". That means 2 things. One, Barry the man who would be king was sleeping in the pew, or 2, King Hussein sees nothing wrong preaching hate. It was also amusing to see him distance himself from his "spiritual: leader of 25 years when the heat got turned on over what the racist "preacher" was teaching. Pisses me off that the republicans refused to even hit that issue or the fact he was friends with terrorist Bill Ayers, or ask for his college transcripts or push for the birth cert from the beginning. What a bunch of wankers the Republicans have become. Spineless.

If anyone has a chance, please ask:
Mr. President:
(A) Why in the world did you push through Obamacare before focusing on jobs and housing? If urgent, why the 3 year delay in implementing?
(B) Why didn't Obamacare focus more on controlling costs vs insurance reforms? That is, malpractice reforms (reduce costly defensive medicine), consumer incentive for everyone, a ban on cost shifting (medicare/medicaid only pay 80% of COST so hospitals need to transfer the 20% cost to private insurers - Maryland banned this?)
(C) Healthcare is 18% of our economy and impacts 100%. Looking back, was it handled properly or rammed through sloppily.
(D) When the BP oil leak happened, why all the delays in (a) stopping leak, (b) preventing spreading, (c) cleaning and (d) helping those effected. Boats were sitting idle waiting for permission for several days while some seemed to like watching BP squirm.
(E) Did the US tell the Europeans to hold off their crisis until after election?
(F) Can you comment on: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/10/04/obama-administration-pressures-contractors-not-to-warn-workers-of-impending-layoffs.html
(G) Happy with recent numbers when over half part time? Not sure if bartender, waiter/waitress jobs, etc are what we are looking for.
(H) Thoughts? http://www.pgpf.org/Issues/Fiscal-Outlook/2012/09/adv-theres-no-debate-presidential-candidates-must-address-debt.aspx

How you going to feel when your sick or family member is and a person on the BOARD DECIDES if you can get the medical help you or they need. By the way its the HOLIDAY season everyone knows companies hire more help, then after dec. 31 your let go HELLO wake up do you really think the lies are going to stop????????? . 1.4 billion on vacation for the obamas and family. 714 million from medicare to pay for obama care. Well said Jim.
Half of this country sits on their butts with their hands out taking while fewer and fewer are contributing. Obama has had opportunities to to create jobs and has failed the American people. Obama looks out for unions and his big contributors. All else be damned. One out of five people in this nation are NOW on some form of government assistance and Obama is still blaming the other guy while bragging on himself.
What were these people expecting from a damn community organizer? It's past time that America start taking our freedom serious and getting involved.

Don't be blinded by this man in office. If the people would have really known who they put in office the first time it would have never happened. Granted America has made history by putting in the first white/black man in office and that is good for the America people. America have shown the world as a people we are past racism & can come together and have moved forward from the early 60 &70's. This doesn't mean this man has been good for this country, but only an example of our ability as a nation to go beyond our personal differences. Now it is the time to be serious and see which way this president is sending our country. He has had 4 yrs already and he is still striping us of our freedoms & strength's. The constitution talks about smaller government and power to the states. As an American people we must stand against the powers that bring down society and oppress our people. This includes those in leadership that want to this to be their America and not the people's America. If you want to put this man back in office know his value's. You would be surprised by the Anti-American past. Just remember folks there is always an agenda. In all good concise I can't allow this man back in office. I like the man with the strong business mind and who truly loves his God & Country. A man that will be on his knees praying for wisdom to guide this country. We must stand - "Power to the People".

@Sportsfan--if you're an American citizen over the age of 21 you have the right to vote--it doesn't matter if you make the big bucks or not. And the majority of the 47% are senior citizens, military, and hard working families. Your elitist attitude is the reason people can't stand Mitt Romney.

FYI - Romney's Jeep ad merely states they are planning to make Jeeps in China. Some are saying not true "since not at the expense of any US jobs". This makes no sense. What Romney is saying is true. The question is whether that Jeeps should be made here and exported to China vs made in China.
I've heard from many (including our President during the last debate) that Romney "would have liquidated the auto industry".
CNN Reality Check: Erin Burnett clarifies the "auto bailout" spin from the media.
Let's start with the allegedly Romney NY Times Op Ed entitled "Let Detroit Go Bankrupt". HE DIDN'T WRITE THAT. His title was something like "The Way Forward for the Auto Industry". The horribly pathetically biased NY Times wrote that title.
This is the first time I've heard this. Amazing.
Romney merely proposed an orderly bankruptcy. Guess what, that's what ended up happening after taxpayor funding. A bankruptcy.
Here's the CNN link:

Literally trillions have been spent by gov't and fed to stimulate the economy and this is where we are. See CNBC's "Are we rich or poor?" debate (worth watching) to understand my concerns:

Hi Jean- I heard that a lot from the mass media, but when I read the transcript of the ad and GM's response, it was like two ships passing in the night. GM might build Jeeps in China for the Chinese market. Not a huge deal, but we could have also exported.
So many times the media has labels Romney or Ryan's statements as lies, but when you read their statements, they are accurate, although have some spin. I had a back and forth with one fact check site about Ryan's debate "lies" and it's clear his statements were accurate, although had some spin.
Keep in mind that most working in mass media (including most "fact checkers") are biased. You need to analyze the facts yourself. Sad, but true.

Neither Obama or Romney are great choices.
But, for me, Obama has much more credibility than Romney.
Politifact says that Romney lies MUCH MORE than Obama
42 percent of Romney’s comments were lies.
28 percent of Obama’s comments were lies
(Total of all Mostly False, False and Pants on Fire rulings)
Romney appears to say whatever he thinks best suits his audience.

And, Obama has experience that Romney doesn’t even come close to.

Romney is such a fake. No matter how much business experience he may have, integrity is still high on my list for qualifications. No man is perfect and no one man can make a difference. It takes a whole nation to pull together and not just sit at home for 3 years and then the year before election get involved by listening just to nonsense ads. Obama started in a hole and we are still digging out from the mistakes of the Republican party.
Pejo
8:58 am on Sunday, November 4, 2012
If integrity is so important to you, how do you explain how Obama called Benghazi a terrorist act on September 12th in the Rose Garden, yet continued to say the consulate was attacked by a spontaneous mob as a result of an online video, on talk shows, and to other world leaders at the UN for two weeks after September 12th?
That Benghazi story changes every day, but Obama wants to wait for the investigation AFTER the election to comment on it. Yeah, he's got a lot of integrity.

UPDATE from the super secret Romney war on women planning session:
Romney is distraught because he heard that some women care about things other than birth control and abortions. The evil Republican Party finds this quite hard to believe. We were all set to implement the war on women then come to find out that most women actually consider themselves Americans, not just women. We learned that most women actually think for themselves and are able to make healthy decisions and can actually afford birth control should they need it. Shockingly we learned that birth control and abortions are actually way down on the list of what most women worry about.
Romney and Ryan are dismayed to announce that the war on women is officially over.

This may be off topic , BUT I fell I have to respond . Ten years the republicans have fought against the prescription drug database . In ten years hundreds if not thousands have died over the misuse of these drugs . They were not all drug addicts , so this should not be dismissed as people just doing what they wanted with these drugs . The reps past a database last year . But it is full of holes . The drug dealers on the streets love it . The drug companies love it . The doctors love it . The reps refused to make it mandatory cause it would cut into BIG profits to those selling these drugs . Yes Libya is bad and should of never happened . But if you check, you will see these things happened on both sides of the table . This one is being made such a big issue because its election time. If you people really care about American lives , ask the republicans why they refused toi make the prescription drug database mandatory . Iam only saying republicans because they are the ones against it. If it was the dems , I would change parties over this issue . Obama has your back,, the republicans wil take your back . Please call your local rep and demand why they refuse to make the database mandatory , and then get out and vote FOR OBAMA THANK YOU

4:29 pm on Saturday, November 3, 2012
I agree with you in principle Mr. Chubre, but the fact of the matter is that the pharmaceutical lobby owns both parties. Within the Republican legislation that created the senior prescription drug program, our government forfeited the right to negotiate high volume discounts for the millions of seniors the government is subsidizing. When the President tried to change that stipulation as part of the Affordable Health Care Act, big pharma's lobbyists rained money down on the Democrats and forced Obama to back off. They bought and paid for both parties.
Mike Chubre
5:01 pm on Saturday, November 3, 2012
Murphy Solon Thank you for your info . The databased passed in Florida last year pretained to the prescription drugs . I watched my county grow to be the worst out of 67 counties in Florida for prescription drug abuse . I watched the republicans throw the bill out of the house for 10 years ! Under pressure from many , the reps passed a watered down version that the doctors dont have to use if they choose not ???????????? This version has already shown some help with the sales of controlled substances on the streets , however its report only 2% of doctors are using it ????? Just think if it was mandatory , how much it would help with the abuse problem . The pasco sheriff has said it spends 65% of its manpower related to crimes that involve these drugs . The medical examiner has spent millions over this issue and many more stats I could tell you. Buy yet the republicans fight against it Maybe when the drug abuse hits one of the republicans families that results in a death , maybe then they will put our kids safety over profits . Yes Big pharma donates millions of dollars to the republicans . Purdue pharma paid out 300 million and admited guilt when they started pushing these drugs for the doctors to write . That 300million seems to have been a payoff as they continue to write the same drugs they are getting millions adicted to.
Murphy-Solon

You want to hear an astounding statistic Mr. Chubre? During negotiations for the Affordable Health Care Act the pharmaceutical industry employed 343 (no typo) ex-congressmen and women to lobby Congress. It's not only the campaign contributions but also the lucrative career opportunities that awaits congressmen and women upon leaving office.

anti alinsky I only need one reason to vote for Obama. The democrats are NOT war mongers . The democrats will not send us to a country we have no business being there to kill people that do us no harm. The republicans will do away with socil security as we know it . Why is it all you reps talk out both sides of your mouths? Every rep and dem I hear has said that its not the governments job to make "jobs " Then all you reps do is whine about the job #s So which is it ??? Ever notice everytime this country is short on jobs , the republicans bring us to war at a place we have no business.

I saw Obama yesterday claiming the new job numbers are proof that his policies are working and that we are in an economic recovery... Fact is, that is not the truth, or even close to the truth...
First, the unemployment rate ticked up to 7.9% and the year-to-date monthly average of 157,000 payroll jobs is barely enough to keep up with population growth -- much less make up for the 8 million jobs lost during the Great Recession.
Second, the so-called real unemployment rate (U6) remains elevated at 14.6%, albeit down from 14.7% the prior month. Similarly, the labor participation rate is at 63.8%, up from its multi-decade low but still incredibly weak.
Third, average hourly earnings fell a penny in October and average hours worked fell to 34.4 from 34.5 in September.
Stagnant wages means "we're not generating income," Reinhart says. "That's a problem in terms of the durability of an economic expansion, which is usually fueled by consumption. To get consumption you've got to generate income."
Also, just look at your checkbook. We are paying a lot more for everything now than we did in 2008. The price of gas has doubled. At the same time, wages have gone down, and that's if you're lucky to have a job.
In 2008, 25 banks went out of business. In 2012, 48 banks have gone out of business. Almost double the amount. Does that sound like recovery to you? Don't believe the Obama lies!!

Tom B the banks are required to follow laws when lending . The lenders and appraisers were in bed together and knew what to write up to make a loan . People were not forced to borrow or sign true to a point . However people who where given big loans to buy all the toys fell behind and many refinanced and again were given loans by the blood sucking banks again . . Many would of lost their homes if they did not borrow again. Many ended up losing anyway . Banks, insurance companys and drug companies run this country . All contribute to the republicans big time .

Hear and Now 2012
What has the Republican Party done for the American People in the the last 4 years?
The Republican's Filibuster record:
A Democratic Bill to stop giving tax breaks to corporations that close their plants here, and lay off millions of American workers and open overseas. This is a job destroying bill that the Republicans gave us and its been going on for years. Filibustered 3 times.
A bill passed in the House that would give corporations tax breaks if they moved back to this country. Filibustered.
A Democratic bill to keep American Oil in this country for American to use. Filibustered.
What they did do was sign a pledge to a powerful lobbyist: Grover Norquist. What about the their pledge to the American people they took an oath to represent?
If the country has moved forward to slowly for the Republican, they have only themselves to blame . They sat in Congress and wasted 4 years. Is this the party we should put in the White House? Romney talks the middle game but just like Boehner he will not be able to control his own party.

The night of the President Obama's Inaugaral Party, Paul Rayn and 13 other Republican congressman held a dinner meeting and decided their agenda for the next 4 years. Vote against, deny and filibuster everything the President put before them. Even when it was a Republican idea they had all agreed on. If President Obama said he would include it in a bill , they voted against it. This it the Republicans of the last 4 years and the canididate for Vice President. Who would want people governing this country when they don't have the best interest of the American people.

It amazes me that anyone can prefer the authoritarianism which is needed to provide equality instead of the personal freedom of inequality. People the world over clamor to come to the USA in order to have the liberties this nation offers.
Our liberties are diminishing. The tenets which made us great are being revised and rewritten. If we continue in this direction it will be like walking off the plank in jubilant enthusiasm, without a blindfold, smiling all the way to the bottom of the ocean. Then...its too late.

Are Republicans just taught to be republicans the same way hate is taught. you people amaze me. Bin Laden is dead, Auto industry thriving, look at the stock market for auto makers, My Job was downsized and lost by moves on the Republican side in 2008. I was fortunate to start my own business because i took iniative to better myself and now self emplyed with job retraining. The Real Estate market is coming back and prices are moving higher again from the false boom from Bush era. People look around what he was given in 2008. and we are better and getting better everyday . God Bless Obama for caring too much
Phyllis Stager

Bin Laden is dead but Al Quaeda is not. Four Americans are dead as of 9/11/12. GM has suffered loss of market share both in 2011 and the first 7 mos of 2012. Restructuring may be again in GM's future. You need to study the causes of the real estate disaster before you proclaim questionable statements of some fictitious boom.
Putting all Republicans in the same basket with hate in an interesting device but rather seems to be a bit of smoke and mirrors analogy.
Congrats on starting your own business as that is what the USA is all about! Did you build it yourself?

The response by Phyllis is classic! I love it! Republicans cannot give credit for anything Obama has done. Meeks, you listed a couple of facts that are certainly positive, and she just spins them into something negative. Phyllis, I can assure you that GM is in the best position it's been in for years (record profits, great new products, adding U.S. jobs), in spite of you wishing that it were ready to go under. Yes, Al Quaeda is still around, but the leadership has been decimated (not just Bin Laden).
If Obama came out with a cure for cancer, Republicans would say "well, that's no accomplishment, did you know that the side effects for the cure is a runny nose???"

Individual liberties. The position held dear by many of us. Traditionally, of the two major sides, this ideology was more aligned with the Republican party. But the current attacks on individual rights for women are extremely troubling for me. I'm a Libertarian, although many short-sighted and pseudo-intellectuals on this forum mistake my humanitarian leaning views as liberal. And, admittedly, many do align more with the Democrats. Because of Romney's history as anti-women's rights, history on no regard for the middle class of America, and documented dishonesty on virtually all topics, I will vote for President Obama. Now....for all of you who know "the truth" and wish to attack me, have at it.........(be sure to include some of those very reliable and accurate links that you believe)
Phyllis Stager
8:08 am on Sunday, November 4, 2012
Ed..I too am more Libertarian than anything. As to attacks on rights for women, I don't think asking to them pay for their own birth control pills and abortion is an infringement of rights, rather it's an infringement of MY rights to have to pay for this. Other than that, women's actual rights are not in any danger.
When we assign the government a task to over see our humanitarian interests, we put at risk the very funds appropriated to the purpose. Privately run charities and foundations generally attend to their causes with less red tape and waste. And they generally involve truly caring people rather than officious paper pushers.
As to documented dishonesty, I am somewhat flummoxed that you think the present administration is a paragon of truth.
Traditionally, a libertarian is for less rules and regulation, smaller government. I don't think you have been paying attention to the expansion of government and government authority over the past four years.
But...I respect your point of view and encourage you to vote as you please. Cheers!
Ed Fisher
9:48 am on Sunday, November 4, 2012
My chief concern regard womens rights is the subject of abortion. I hold the belief that this topic is a concern of women only. I have no religious views, therefore it is simply an issue of rights. I never implied that the President is a "paragon of truth." But the "truth meter" clearly shows Romney to be the consummate liar, and the winner in the race to deceive the public. My post was simple (I thought). Let me try this approach: For the purposes of this election, given the current circumstances, I will vote for the lesser of the two evils.
Phyllis Stager
10:00 am on Sunday, November 4, 2012
Well, as I have mentioned before, I am not particularly concerned with either candidate or their personal qualities. I will, as a libertarian, vote for the philosophy of government which limits is power over the individual. I will vote for the government which sees itself an employee of the people, not a ruler over our choices and freedoms. I will vote for a philosophy which doesn't penalize and condemn success but encourages it. I do NOT belong to the government as stated by the Democrat Convention, the government belongs to ME. I pay its bills, it does NOT pay mine.

Do you know of any Republican job bills in the last 4 years?
A roll back of environmental laws and regulations which would have minimal impact on the unemployment rate.
Weakening of National Labor Relations, this proposal would more likely impact those currently employed than those looking for jobs.
Small business tax cuts, while the tax cuts would improve small business profits it would not effect the demand for their products. Product demand creates jobs.
The Republican's job bills are more political than practical.

Thank you, President Obama for your
many achievements, despite strong Republican obstructions:
+ Led the killing of Osama Bin Laden.
+ Improved US relationships with most allies.
+ Directed killing of several leaders of Al Qaida.
+ Implemented harsh sanctions on Iran.
+ Brought together coalition to remove dictator Gaddhafi from power in Libya.
+ Implemented Obamacare to provide healthcare for millions of people who previously did not have health coverage, and to mandate several health cost-cutting measures.
+ Ended the discriminatory Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy in the military.
+ Supports same-sex marriage.
+ Supports the equal pay act to provide equal pay for women and men.
+ Led the nation out of worst recession (gotten into by Bush) in many decades.
+ Implemented stimulus act to revive economy.
+ Ended war in Iraq, an unnecessary and unbudgeted war started by George W Bush.
+ Began drawdown of war in Afghanistan.
+ Passed necessary Wall Street reform to prevent future financial collapse.
+ Helped turn around auto industry.
+ And, much, much more!
Let's move FORWARD!, not back to the Bush years!

Chris, People who call other people insulting names . people they dont even know , well they have some serious personal issues . Please work on your issues and leave your personal problems at home , and dont bring them to this site. I have a feeling you would complain no matter who is the president . Some people are always looking for someone else to blame . As far as the names you called me ?? I suggest you look in the mirror first . Also I feel bad that you are old enough to vote because you sure dont sound ready to make a good choice . Hope you feel better Chris

MIKE Chubre, it took you long enough to figure out how to use a keyboard. Maybe now you can start learning where to put periods and commas.
I'm all broken up that my every effort to make your life blissful has failed. What next? Are you going to accuse me of being a racist because Obama is an IDIOT? You've done it in the past so why stop now?
Get a life you moron.

Legitimate rape rarely resulted in pregnancy
Questions the necessity of allowing abortions if a mother's life is at risk, also if a women is raped. Health of the mother has been, has become a tool for abortions any time under any reason

Keep hitting the bong there Mr Chubre....... My problem with Powell? He just has poor taste when it comes to selecting a good man for president is all. Romney does not have to commit adultery , he is a Mormon . Mormons are allowed to have many wives . Romeys grandfather moved back to Mexico so he could be with his 5 wives Colin Powells endorsement says it all . Oh wait a minute , just like the republican senator Sununu said , Colin picked him because he is black !!! I bet you think the same DONT YOU ???

Quote from Barry Goldwater Republican Senator and also Republican Candidate for President in 1964>
" Mark my words, if and when these preachers get control of the (REPUBLICAN) party, and they're sure trying to do so, it's going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these CHRISTIANS believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise. I know, I've tried to deal with them.

We all know how the Republican party's anchor to all their economic thinking is based on their trickle down theory, despite the fact that we saw that it didn't work when enacted under Bush. So what recently happened was that the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service did a study on this and their study found that there is no correlation between these policies and economic growth, so given that is 99.9% of what Romney is campaigning on, Republicans panicked and the report was buried.
Here is the article on it:

NY DUMPSTER DIVER I always have to laugh at people like yourself . Your type run your mouths , hiding on the other side of a key board . Do you really think your comments mean anything to anybody ? The word PUNK comes to my mind first , but that might be giving you too much credit . Why dont you say something that would benifit everyone instead of acting like a child calling people names . I know you republicans have a hard time accepting the fact that Obama is going to get another 4 years , however this should not make you act like a child with the name calling . If you need some kleenex I will be gald to send it to you , , your tears are starting to show in the way you talk about others . I will let you get back in your dumpster now ps save your insults for someone who cares

After the Evil Super Secret Republican last minut meeting today I bumped into a woman who claimed that there were issues that were more important to her than her right to free contraceptives and to abort unwanted babies. I was stunned!
At first I didn't believe her, but she insisted that she could pay for her own contraception should she need it and was responsible enough to use it if she desired to do so. She also claimed that she wasn't just a sex object and hated being pandered to. I claimed BS.
Can this be true? Is there more to being a woman than free birth control and the ability to abort (not babies) fetuses?

This election has sure brought out the best and the worst as you can read in some of these posts . Without sounding like Iam pro Obama , it sure seems to be cooming from the republican side , the worst that is. I keep hearing on CNN, NBC, MSNBC , ABC, and even the payed for by the republican network FOX that its not the governments job to create jobs??? If this is true , can anyone please tell me why Obama is getting slammed for the jobs # s???? In addition , when Obama said " you did not make that company" , what he said was you did not build the road that the company is located on !!! Like always the reps left this part out .

This is no joke and needs to be looked into thank you everyone should be told to check their vote after it goes through the machine thank you ,

Money taken from our medicare to pay obama care. A board who will decide if you can have the medical help you or your family needs. Horses as food Taxes going up 1.4 billion for vacations while we sit here looking for a job unemployment for some ran out no more trillions of dollars in debt Social issues should not be a factor in your voting think about the country in whole . YES Bob Lang
If you have been keeping up with obama these past 4 years. Bush signed into law that the slaughtering of horses for food to stop. Obama did a exec. order that allows the slaughter of horses for food. So no I am not smoking anything.
Do your research and you will find out that the FDA is in charge of the slaughter houses.

Now if anybody tries to tell you that Romney is not lying to you to sneak his way into office, there is your proof that he is lying.
I can't break it down any more simply for people. Romney is a deceptive used car sales man. He will tell you whatever he thinks will get him what he wants. He tells the base that he is a extreme conservative and makes all the promises that the fringe extreme wants and then turns to the voters and says that he is a bi-partisan. These are not mutually inclusive positions. He is lying to somebody. Are you ready to risk if he is lying to you?

No one has to go round and round to connect the dots. I don't need to convince you or Phyllis. And are you going the route of insulting people's intelligence when they don't agree with you?
FACT: The filibuster was once used sparingly , now has been used by Mitch McConnell over 100 times in each of the last 3 years.
The same Mitch McConnell who said it was his first priority to see the Presdient Obama does not serve a second term.
Maybe you and Phyllis need to connect the dots.

I think that was wrong what he said. If the president fails, so might the country.
But you can't take bits and pieces from the last 4 years and weave them to your liking to give you the lookback on history that you'd like - connecting the dots????
Lori
11:00 pm on Tuesday, November 6, 2012
The bits and pieces i've brought up in my posts are facts. They weave a picture of a politcal party that set out from the begiining to work against the President with no regard for the American people. Even when the President included ideas the Republicans had already agreed on, they voted against it. The polarizing of the past 4 years begins and ends with the Republicans. I don't have to lookback or put a spin on the truth. And what facts do you offer.
