The Giant Eagle GetGo that will be built in Center Ridge Road will have a car wash.
City council at its Jan. 6 meeting approved adding a car wash to the site, at the intersection of Columbia and Center Ridge Roads.
Giant Eagle had to work with the city to address concerns of nearby residents. Some of the revisions included extra buffering at the rear of the 1.5-acre site, as the rear fence's height was raised from 6 to 8 feet and taller evergreens will be planted closer together to shield neighbors on Columbia Road and Arthut Avenue from light and noise.
In addition to the car wash, there will be a 5,583 square-foot store and 16 pumps.
Dan Donovan, a spokesman for Giant Eagle, said construction is expected to begin later this winter. Barring any delays, the GetGo should open sometime this summer.

Really? Does Westlake really need another gas station? There is nothing else that could be put there? We need to get a new mayor that can look at things with a different perspective. He has been in office too long.

What's going to happen with the GetGo at Center Ridge and Dover? Are we now going to have two GetGo not that far apart or is this one replacing that one?
