Margot Shumway Rows Way to 2012 Olympics
Westlake native competing in double sculls in London
How cool is this? Westlake has it's own Olympian!
Rower Margot Shumway of Westlake qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics in women's double sculls with teammate Sarah Trowbridge of Guilford, Conn.
The Summer Olympics are in London from July 27 through August 12. Shumway, a Westlake High School and Ohio State University graduate, will compete in her event in the July 30 and 31 qualifying rounds. The medal round is August 3.
