Margarita (Birontas) Premen, 87, a 20-year member of Westlake City Council, died Nov. 18.

She was born Feb. 11, 1925, in Lithuania.

Premen served from 1974-1993 on City Council, representing Ward 4.

She is survived by children Dr. Victor E. Premen (Catherine), Edward V. Premen (Susan) and Dr, Andre J. Premen (Nancy); grandchildren Harrison Premen, Victor Premen, Suzy Bahu, Matthew Premen, Zachary Premen, Jacob Premen and Nicholas Premen; great-grandchildren Autumn, Trey and Luke Premen; and sister Victor Birontas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Premen.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at Jenkins Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at St. Ladislas Church.
