Josh Mandel in Avon Lake Saturday for 'Buckeye Blitz'
Events to Feature New Romney TV Commercials Airing Across State
Ohio Treasurer and Senatorial candidate Josh Mandel will take part in a “Buckeye Blitz Kickoff Event” for Romney-Ryan at the Republican Victory Center in Avon Lake, Saturday, Sept. 7. The center is in Learwood Plaza, several doors down from Giant Eagle.
Mandel is the 2012 Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate. He will face incumbent Democrat Sherrod Brown in the November election.
The Republican National Committee – in conjunction with Romney for President and the Ohio Republican Party– will hold seven Buckeye Blitz kick-off events at Victory Centers, including Polaris, Kenwood, Steubenville, Beavercreek, Avon Lake, Wooster and Ontario.
These events will feature the new Romney campaign ads running in respective regions across Ohio. Elected officials will join Ohio volunteers to discuss how under President Obama, Ohio is not better off.
A press release issued by the RNC focused on the Sept. 6 job report, saying “Today’s dismal jobs report is more of the same for middle class families who are suffering through the worst economic recovery since the Great Depression.
“After 43 straight months of unemployment above 8 percent, we now know that President Obama just hasn't lived up to his promises and his policies haven't worked. If we want a new direction, we need a new president.”
Mandel is scheduled to arrive at the Avon Lake Victory Center at 9 a.m.

Is this the best Senate candidate the republicans could come up with? He doesn't even look old enough to be in the Senate. Will the other senators even take him seriously? What is his experience? What are his accomplishments and major policy initiatives? Who knows? And I don't believe for a minute that when push came to shove he would have stood up to his party and voted against Bush's TARP plan. He seems like a career politician wannabee.

Mandel wants to repeal ObamaCare. That alone is good enough for me. But Mandel
is also a true patriot, having served in Iraq, and he is not going to vote liberal
on just about everything like Brown does.

He seems like he'd vote for whatever his wealthy backers tell him to vote for (like most politicians these days).
