A 55-year-old Westlake man is facing several charges after nailing a door shut to try and keep his wife from leaving.
The incident happened around 7:19 p.m. on Dec. 3 at their Columbia Road home. The man also threatened to kill his wife and burn down the house. When Westlake Police came, he fought with the three arresting officers, kicking one in the leg.
He is being charged with domestic violence, unlawful restraint, resisting arrest and three counts of assault on a police officer.
Six rifles, a shotgun and a .40-caliber semi-automatic handgun were taken from the home by police.
