Plans for romance went awry after a Westlake woman realized she'd forgotten her keys to her boyfriend's home and couldn't get in.
The woman, 23, showed up at the Caroline Circle home a little before 2:50 a.m. on Nov. 1. When she couldn't wake up her boyfriend with yelling, she decided to break a window to get in.
A neighbor was awakened by the noise and called Westlake Police. When officers got there, they found that the boyfriend had armed himself with a kitchen knife after thinking a burglar was trying to break in.
The woman was charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication.
