Ohio is the 39th state to ban texting while driving after Gov. John Kasich signed the bill into law Friday afternoon surrounded by family members of those killed by drivers distracted by cell phones, reports The Columbus Dispatch.
For adults, texting while driving would be a secondary offense. Teen drivers, however, could be pulled over by police for using electronic devices like phones and tablets.
