Joe Tait, Santa And More Weekend Fun

From a holiday concert to a silent auction, there's plenty to do in Westlake this weekend.

 

The weekend is almost here, and there are lots of fun, family-friendly events around Westlake. Check out our picks for activities you don't want to miss, and share your weekend plans in the comments!

EVENING AT THE NORTH POLE

Where/When: Westlake Recreation Center / Friday, 6 p.m.

Why Go: Santa's sleigh is making a stop at the Rec Center where good girls and boys can tell him what they're hoping to find under the tree. Kids can listen to The Night Before Christmas, sing along to holiday songs and enjoy a snack. Make sure to register by visiting the Rec Center website.

JOE TAIT BOOK SIGNING

Where/When: Barnes & Noble / Saturday, 1 to 2 p.m.

Why Go: Legendary announcer Joe Tait will be telling stories from his long career as the 'Voice of the Cleveland Cavaliers' and signing copies of his new book, Joe Tait: It's Been A Real Ball.

LOVE CAME DOWN AT CHRISTMAS CONCERT

Where/When: St. Paul Lutheran Church & School / Saturday, 7 p.m.

Why Go: St. Paul Lutheran's Contemporary Praise Team, Kids Praise Team, Bell Choir and Senior Choir are getting together for a concert, 'Love Came Down At Christmas.' Admission is $1, or free with the donation of a nonperishable food item or a small toy.

FRIENDS OF WPPL TREES & WREATHES SILENT AUCTION

Where/When: Westlake Porter Public Library / Now through Sunday, 2 p.m.

Why Go: The Friends of Westlake Porter Public Library is wrapping up their silent auction of beautiful trees, baskets and wreathes at 2 p.m. Sunday. Visit the lobby and the halls of the library and find one that's right for you!

HOLIDAY CHOIR CONCERT

Where/When: Church of the Redeemer United Church of Christ / Sunday, 3 p.m.

Why Go: Redeemer UCC's chancel choir will put on a special holiday concert including traditional, religious and Broadway favorites. There will also be a visit from a special guest!
