Descendants of some of the oldest families in town -- including Albers, Crocker, Porter and Krone -- were given copies of the bicentennial banners that hung in Westlake during the 2011 bicentennial.

Several Historical Society members and volunteers wore period garb to serve ice cream and mingle with the several dozen guests.

One of the highlights of the night was mayor Dennis Clough and Westlake Historical Society president Lysa Stanton unveiling the new National Register of Historic Places plaque on Clague House.
