Homecoming, All Class Reunion, Animal Blessing This Week

A look at the week ahead

 
  1. It's Homecoming Weekend in Westlake! That means the Homecoming Parade and the Spaghetti Dinner before Friday's 7 p.m. game against Olmsted Falls at Westlake High School. And there's the Westlake/Dover All Class Reunion at LaCentre! Click here for all the Homecoming details.
  2. If the All Class Reunion Party wasn't enough, get together with friends Saturday morning at the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast in the high school cafeteria. After breakfast, you can tour the current school, get a preview of the new high school under construction, and be entertained by musical performances.
  3. The start of fall means that you may be thinking about getting your children cooler-weather clothes. Save a few bucks at the Westshore Mothers of Twins sale on Saturday in Rocky River. Or you can head over to Avon for the Avon Early Childhood PTA Kids Kloset sale Saturday at Avon High School.
  4. Lutheran Home at Concord Reserve will hold a Blessing of the Animals at 2:45 p.m. Sunday. People are invited to bring their well-behaved pets on leashes or in carriers. If you're not sure how Fido or Fluffy will behave, a photo of them will suffice.
  5. Enjoy singing, dancing and roller skating at this weekend's performances of Xanadu at Beck Center for the Arts in Lakewood.
