Gretchen Wang, 79, of Westlake, died Dec. 27.
She was born Sept. 24, 1933, in Cleveland.
Wang was the wife of the late John Wang. She is survived by children James (Debbie), David (Tina), Robert (Judy), Thomas (Denise) and Julie (Shawn); ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was also a founding member of the Westlake Historical Society.
"We are indebted to Gretchen for all she did to help and support our cause," the Society said in its January newsletter released Jan. 1.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, at 1:30 p.m. at Dover Congregational United Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.

Gretchen was one of the most delightful and sweetest ladies. She was one of the original employees at the cafe in the Porter Library. She was our own Mrs. Claus and she will be
