Get Your Holiday Spirit Going This Weekend
Lots of ways to enjoy the season, and give to others.
- There's something about choral music this time of year that's extra-special. Enjoy it Saturday as Westlake High School Chorale teams up with Singers Companye chamber choir for The Shining Night, an evening of choral music, at 7 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center.
- Head on over to Avon this weekend for some holiday fun as the French Creek District there holds its annual Candlelite Walk. There will be specials at area shops, the lighting of the Christmas tree, and a visit with Santa.
- Enjoy an evening of food and entertainment for a good cause at Howard Hanna's Choo Choo Chow Chow party Saturday evening in North Olmsted. This event raises money for the Children’s Free Care Fund, which helps pay for health care for children in need. There will be food from area restaurants, wine and beer, raffles, entertainment and a silent auction.
- Families can help other Westlake families in need at Sunday's Santa Claus Bingo, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Westlake Community Services. There will be food, games of bingo, prizes and photos with Santa. All proceeds will benefit Westlake Service and Assistance Program. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Does your son love lacrosse? He can go to a lacrosse clinic and help others while doing it at Sunday's Holiday Lacrosse Clinic in Hudson. In addition to the $35 registration fee, participants must bring a new, unwrapped toy for the Marine Corps' Toys for Tots campaign.
