Gas Prices Slowly Going Down
Use our Commute feature to find the best gas prices in Westlake
Once again, gas prices fall much more slowly than they rise.
Ahead of Hurricane Isaac, gas prices around Westlake shot up as much as 35 cents a gallon in one day. They got as high as $3.95 a gallon at the Speedway and BP stations at the Bradley-Detroit intersection.
Since then, prices have been going back down. Thursday afternoon, the Circle K at Center Ridge and Dover Center Roads had regular unleaded gas for $3.74 a gallon.
According to GasBuddy.com, gas prices will continue to fall slowly through September and October as the higher summer demand goes away and refineries impacted by Isaac resume production.
