Food Trucks Return to Hyland Software
Food fest is a treat for employees
While health insurance and a 401K are nice workplace benefits, Hyland Software goes a little farther when it comes to perks.
It brings in the food trucks.
In what has become a few-times-a-year tradition at the tech company, the company hired food trucks to park outside its Clemens Road headquarters Friday and sell food to employees.
The rain didn't stop employees from coming out and getting a food truck lunch. There were four food trucks -- Umami Moto, Nosh Box, Scott's Fire & Ice Catering, and Mobile Cupcakery. Employees had choices ranging from curry to nachos to pizzas made in a mobile wood-fired oven.
Joe Ramirez, a project manager with the company, indulged his sweet tooth. He got a half-dozen cupcakes from Mobile Cupcakery -- two Billy Idol (white wedding cake) cupcakes, two red velvet and two triple chocolate.
"They're so easy to eat," he said of why cupcakes are so loved. "You can fit one in your hand. Also, there's icing."
He's been with the company six months, so this is his first food truck day.
"I love it," Ramirez said. "There's never a dull moment here."
