Election 2012 in Westlake: #5 Story of 2012

Residents came to Westlake Patch for local election results

 

While the re-election of Barack Obama as president was the big story of the Nov. 6 election, there were other matters for Westlake residents to vote on at the polls.

They came -- and kept coming -- to Westlake Patch on Election Night for the latest results of state, regional and local elections. Those results, updated througout the night, were the fifth most-popular story on Westlake Patch in 2012.

There were no city or school board offices up for vote this year. But Westlake did play a role in the national campaign, as Republican vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan held a rally at the Westlake Recreation Center. Libertarian Party vice-presidential candidate Judge Jim Gray made a campaign stop at Dean's Greenhouse.
