Those baggy pants some teenaged boys like to wear turned out to be a bad choice for one young man.

The 18-year-old Hedgewood Avenue resident got into a fight with his father over the teen's underage drinking around 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 29. The two then struggled over the keys to the family car before the teen took off running from the house.

Westlake Police were called, and a bystander pointed out the teen to officers. He was easy to spot as his pants were nearly falling off, police reported. The teen ran into a nearby back yard and tried to get into the house before police caught up to him.

The teen is being charged with domestic violence, disorderly conduct by intoxication, underage consumption, criminal trespassing and obstructing official business.
