The Cuyahoga County Fair runs through August 12 at the Fairgrounds in Berea.
New features this year include Kachunga and the Alligator, a live gator show; Mac and the Big Cheese, a comedy cooking show; juggler and unicyclist Wade Henry; chainsaw wood carvers; and First Bite Fishing Tanks for kids.
Lakewood resident Abby Boland, who recently won the Ohio Idol competition in Columbus, will perform at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
There will also be the usual rides, food, demolition derby, harness racing, a haunted house, animals and contests.
Other music shows include Zoso, a Led Zeppelin tribute band, and North Coast BeatleFest, featuring Beatles tribute bands.
Also in the grandstand: a car stunt show and a rodeo, plus harness racing and the demo derby.
Hours are noon to 11 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday; and noon to 10 p.m. Sunday.
Thursday is Kids' Day, with extended hours and special pricing. The fair will be open 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday.
General admission is $7, or $6 for seniors and kids 4-12. Children under 4 admitted free.
On Thursday, kids 4-16 get in for only $2. All-day ride tickets are $14 every day but Thursday, when they will cost $7.
