'Cleaning Fairy' Gets No Jail Time

Susan Warren broke into Westlake home, did some cleaning, and stuck the homeowner with the bill.

Susan Warren, the Elyria woman dubbed the "Cleaning Fairy" after she broke into a Westlake home, did some cleaning and left a bill, will not have to go to jail.

Warren, 53, was sentenced to one year of probation and 20 hours of community service, the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office said. She was also fined $150.

In May, Warren was arrested after breaking into a Dover Center Road home the morning of May 22 while the owner slept. She did some light cleaning, not waking up the homeowner, then left a bill for $75 for her "services" and her contact information on a napkin. When the homeowner called her, Warren admitted that she was in the home and added that she needed money.

She became angry when police called her about it, insisting she did this sort of thing all the time, and hung up.

Originally charged with felony burglary, Warren pleaded guilty in October to attempted burglary.
