Or, you find out that your sister-in-law is bringing her new boyfriend to your Fourth of July cookout. And his four children. And his mother. Now you need more food and drinks.
Most Westlake grocery stores will be open on the Fourth of July, although some with reduced hours. Giant Eagle will be open its usual hours, from 5:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Marc's will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Trader Joe's will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lehman's Country Store will be closed.
And if you need beer or other adult beverages, you're good. According to the Ohio Department of Liquor Control, there are no restrictions on alcohol sales on the Fourth of July. Minotti's Wine & Liquor will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Fine Wine & Tobacco store will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
